IMAREST VIKLA GOLF 28/5/2016
The Cyprus Branch of IMarEST held their annual spring golf and Bob Laing Memorial contest at Vikla Golf and Country Club on Saturday the 28th May 2016.
The event was delayed by one and a half hours due to local thunder and lightning storm. But 16 golfers braved the weather and eventually set out on the course. After the prize giving the golfers and guests all sat down to a traditional Vikla Curry lunch which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We would like to thank our sponsers Innospec for their support and our congratulations to the winner of the Bob Laing Memorial Quaich Mr Frank Montigue.
Bob Laing is still well remembered. Bob was an active member and chairman of the IMarEST in Cyprus, well respected in the shipping community and also a keen golfer. He sadly passed away in 2003 at only 54 years of age a victim of cancer. We lift our glasses to Bob.

IMarEST 2013 20th Annual Cyprus Branch Dinner Dance
The 20th Annual Dinner Dance was held at the 4 Season Hotel in Limassol, a total of 300 people attended the evenings event which was well sponsored by local and overseas companies, without whos generous support the event would not be held. Our thanks goes to all those companies who supported the event.
